This makes me feel queasy

I mean, I understand that you need to make people want to buy stuff, that's what the modern day American economy is based on, but it still grosses me out to see such cut and dried, infographic backed strategies to use your company's "humanity" (it's people, Soylent Green is people!) to build "Kinship" to drive purchases.

And there are people out there nodding their heads and thinking to themselves: "That's a brilliant visualization of the way to leverage the 'humanity' and 'connectedness' markets to maximize share-holder value".
